Spicy Korean Sauce

This aromatic sauce is the essence of Korean cuisine – spicy, slightly sweet, and full of deep umami flavor. It pairs perfectly with grilled meats, vegetables, tofu, noodles, or even rice. With just a few ingredients, you can create a bold, flavorful sauce in minutes that will elevate any dish.

Ingredients:
• 2 tbsp gochujang (chili miso paste)
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• 2 tbsp apple juice or pear/kiwi juice
• 1 tbsp sake
• 1 tsp sugar
• ½ tsp grated garlic
• ½ tsp grated ginger
• 1 finely chopped spring onion
• 1 tbsp sesame seeds
• 1 tbsp sesame oil

Preparation:
In a medium bowl, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, fruit juice, sake, sugar, garlic, ginger, spring onion, and sesame seeds. Mix well until all ingredients are fully blended.

Add the sesame oil and mix again until you achieve a smooth, aromatic sauce.

Let it rest for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
